FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT DO SHRIMPS EAT?

Shrimp, in general, require minerals and vitamins to maintain their metabolism, absorb nutrients from food, manufacture hormones and enzymes, construct body tissues, and stabilize their shell.

They can get those from any type of food in limited quantities, or by adding them as supplements to regular feeding.

IS THERE A SUPPLEMENT TO IMPROVE SHRIMP HEALTH?

Chlorella, blue-green algae species Spirulina and other type of algae, are exceptionally high in vitamins and minerals. Carotenoids for instance (astaxanthin, cryptoxanthin, echinenone) plays an essential role in shrimp pigment coloration and overall health as well as an antioxidant.

DO SHRIMP NEED SUPPLEMENTS?

For shrimp keeping and shrimp breeding in the aquarium, an adequate supply of vitamins and trace minerals is essential. Moreover, ornamental shrimps have a higher requirement for minerals, trace elements, and vitamins, particularly during development and reproduction.

HOW IS POWDER FOOD CONSUMED?

Consider how shrimp and fish eat their food. Grazing on biofilm and collecting particles from the water column are the most common methods. Both are available in powdered food.

CAN I CONTROL HOW MUCH I FEED?

Knowing exactly what's in your food and supplying the proper amount is the key to controlled feeding. Powder food can be hand-picked and fed in micro-portions.

CAN I FEED TO ADULT AND BABY FISH?

Feeding young hatchlings and fry is a powder food quality, so adults and fry can share the same amount of food rather than fighting over it.

WILL SHRIMP FIGHT OVER IT?

Stop food conflicts and tankmate violence by dispersing powder nutrients throughout the water column, allowing any shrimp to feed.

HOW CAN I FEED WITH POWDER?

It's as simple as mixing some powder with some water and dropping it in (lnstructions video)

SHOULD POWDER BE REMOVED FROM THE TANK?

There are no additives in organic powder food, and leftovers are absorbed by the plants rather than being discarded after each feed.

WILL POWDER FOOD CONTAMINATE MY WATER?

Powdered food, like any other sort of food, has the potential to contaminate water. Avoid this by keeping a tight maintenance schedule and by feeding moderately.

IS POWDER FOOD EXPENSIVE?

It's possible that natural powder food will become prohibitively pricey. We're doing our best to keep it affordable. And because it lasts longer than it costs, everything evens out.

HOW LONG DOES POWDER FOOD LAST?

Because organic aquarium food has no preservatives, it may expire after a year. We guarantee that your orders will be tailored to the quantity and nutrients that your animal requires.
